I'm So Mad At How Dumb Jon Jones Is

ESPN – Interim UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones has been pulled from his title unification bout against Daniel Cormier at UFC 200 on Saturday, after the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency informed Jones of a potential doping violation Wednesday.

UFC president Dana White announced the move Wednesday during an impromptu news conference at the MGM Grand.

Jones tested positive for a banned substance in an out-of-competition sample taken June 16 by USADA, said Jeff Novitzky, UFC’s vice president of athlete health and performance. USADA administers UFC’s anti-drug policy.A heavyweight fight between Brock Lesnar and Mark Hunt will now headline UFC 200, which takes place Saturday at T-Mobile Arena.

How stupid can one person be? Once when I think he can’t out-stupid himself, Jon Jones fucks around and does this. I fucking HATE Jon Jones right now. We already knew he was a scumbag. We already knew he was an asshole. But doping before UFC 200 is just another time he is too stupid for words. I can’t even figure out how one man can be so stupid. He’s previously been popped for cocaine, a felony hit and run, didn’t fight Cormier at 197 (because DC dropped out), and now, when it was finally about to happen, despite being given 100 chances, Jones will not be headlining UFC 200. How do you screw that up? It’s the biggest pay day of his life. He’s about to headline the biggest UFC card of all time. And he finds a way to flush that all down the toilet. It’s Josh Gordon levels of stupidity. So much talent, so little brain.

I raised this point on Twitter last night, and it was met with mixed responses- how much does Jones’ suspension matter to the buy-rate of UFC 200. I am under the impression that at this point, you were either buying UFC 200 because you are an MMA fan, or you were buying UFC 200 because you’re a casual fan and want to see what the spectacle is about. What I can’t pin-point is how big of a draw Jon Jones himself is to the casual fan. By now, the UFC knows their core group of fans will buy every PPV. The question I have is how many people on the fence about it now will not purchase it because of Jones’ absence. My feeling is it won’t be a huge decline. You still have a packed card, now headlined by Brock Lesnar. BARRRRACKKKKK Lesnar has tons of drawing power, and can carry this card.

It is lame and pathetic and sucks Jones won’t be fighting Saturday. Dana White put his faith in Jones and Jones disrespected the hell out of White by screwing this up. What a big dumb idiot.
