Matt And Jeff Hardy Made a Wrestling Match/Short Film And It Is Completely Insane/Ridiculous/Hilarious/Out Of This World

Look, I’m not going to even begin to explain what we just watched because I’m not sure I can. Actually, I take that back- I know I can’t. This is the climax of Matt and Jeff’s careers. The peak. The pinnacle. Everything they’ve done built up to this, and it was perfect in their own Jeff and Matt Hardy way. And that’s the best I can explain it. They wanted to do something different, and they did it. It had wrestling, it had their typical insane high risk spots and moves, it had over the top bad acting, it had a dilapidated boat, and it had a fireworks war. And you know what else it did? It was trending all over Twitter, it got more people to watch TNA wrestling than probably have ever seen it, and it’s being blogged about all over. This is a bit of an extreme example, but I’m a huge proponent of letting wrestlers be creative and unique instead of robotic and scripted. Stone Cold, The Rock, and guys like that would have never succeeded the way they did had their promos been as micro-managed as the guys of today’s world.

Though #TheFinalDeletion is bizarre and crazy, I’m so glad it exists and that they went for it. And it actually proves, once again, that wrestling can be downright fun. That it doesn’t have to take itself too seriously. Because though it was out of this world, it was pure entertainment from two wrestling legends.
