Welcome back Brian Campbell. Great day to be a Hawks fan. Obviously defensive depth was a problem last year(and the year before as well actually), and now that has been resolved by the Blackhawks signing veteran Dman Brian Campbell to a VERY team friendly one year, $2M deal. Brian Campbell never really left Chicago in some ways. He won here, he met his wife here, and he lives here in the offseason. Chicago was always home and he took a significant pay cut to return to Chicago fulltime
At 37, Brian Campbell can still really skate, still has great instincts, and has been very durable. This was the answer to the problems on the Blackhawks blue line. Now the Hawks can go

I don’t know how the minutes and pairings will come together, but the Hawks now have one of the deepest groups in the NHL and will be well rested for the first time since 2008. Roszival rotating in every so often and maybe giving guys like Gustafsson and Pokka looks here and there. It’s a perfect situation. The Blackhawks got better 5 on 5 and also got a premier PP guy.
