Wake Up With Mark Reynolds Hitting A Walk-Off Homer For The Rockies

OH, HE PIMPED IT! It seems like Mark Reynolds has found himself a nice little home in Colorado. Of course, not a lot of people are talking about Reynolds’ season, because the Rockies are a below average team in a below average division. However, before, when somebody said the name “Mark Reynolds”, I used to think, “Hey, isn’t that the guy who set the MLB single season record for most strikeouts in a season in 2008, and then broke his own record in 2009? And then in 2010, he struck out more times than he did in 2008, but not 2009? That guy?”

But now, when somebody says the name “Mark Reynolds”, I’ll say, “Hey, isn’t that the guy who set the MLB single season record for most strikeouts in a season in 2008, and then broke his own record in 2009? And then in 2010, he struck out more times than he did in 2008, but not 2009? But is also a pretty good hitter now for the Rockies? That guy?” He’s hitting .291 with an .818 OPS, 8 home runs, 16 doubles, and he’s only struck out 65 times in 69 games, which puts him at a pace to strike out 140 times this year. Considering his strikeout history and that the league average last season for strikeouts was 109.7, that’s a pretty good season. Good for Mark Reynolds.
