CM Punk Might Finally Fight...UFC Announces He Will Fight At UFC 203 In Cleveland In September
UFC - Former WWE superstar CM Punk was one of the most notable UFC signings in recent years. On September 10, 2016, he will make his long-awaited UFC debut when he faces Mickey Gall in a welterweight bout at UFC 203 in Cleveland, Ohio. One of the most popular and accomplished pro wrestlers to ever compete in the WWE, Chicago’s CM Punk looked for a new challenge in 2014 and found it in mixed martial arts.
And for the 6th time in 2 years, CM Punk is set to make his UFC debut! Unless he comes down with a papercut, a slight case of the sniffles, or has a dentist appointment that day that he forgot about, Punk is scheduled to fight Mickey Gall at UFC 203 in Cleveland on September 10th. What a long time coming this has been, to the point most people are like “yeah, I’ll believe it when I see it”. There was a while where people were wondering if Punk was ever actually going to fight in UFC at all. A myriad of setbacks have postponed this fight for forever, so if he can get to September without backing out, that’s kind of a win within itself. And then hopefully Gall knocks him the fuck out.
So we have the loaded UFC 200 on deck, Robbie Lawler at UFC 201, McGregor headlining 202, and this fight as well as Miocic vs Overeem at 203. Pretty solid year for the UFC. Pretty fucking solid.
