It’s an even year, so special shit is happening once again in the Bay Area. A couple days ago, I said that the Giants had the lamest walk-off hit ever when Hunter Pence hit a dinky ass blooper that fell into shallow right-center, so it’s only fair that I follow up when they have a legit walk-off hit. This time, it was Brandon Crawford, and the Giants now have their second winning streak of at least five games this month. After taking 2 of 3 from the Cubs, and following that up with a sweep of the Padres, the Giants put together a 5-1 home stand, and have now won 13 of their last 14 games. San Francisco came into this stretch of 13 wins in 14 games one game back of first place, and now hold a 4.5 game lead over the Dodgers.
