Lamarr Houston Said Aaron Rodgers Championship Belt Celebration Is Arrogant, Ummmm Lamarr, Are We Forgetting Some Things?

“He’s a little arrogant for me. He’s a little too arrogant. He’s a cheesehead. I’m a Bear. He’s a cheesehead. But I have a lot of respect for his game, I will say that. He’s a great quarterback. As a player, I have a lot of respect for him … but the whole championship belt thing kind of gets on my nerves.”

Psssst, Lamarr, quick reminder.

Everyone knows I’m all for a little Aaron Rodgers bashing. It’s one of my favorite past times. But let’s keep a few things in check here. Calling out someone for being “arrogant” when your most memorable moment as a Bear came after you tore your ACL celebrating a sack of a backup quarterback while down 28, yeah that feels like a little stretch. I’m bullish as hell on this upcoming Bears season, I think the Defense will be very good and if the Offense plays like it did last year 9-7 or 10-6 isn’t out of the question. I know that may seem delusional but quick turnarounds are what the NFL is built on. But let’s maybe pump the brakes on the Aaron Rodgers is arrogant thing, at least until we can actually beat the Packers with some consistency. This is like when people complain about Cam dancing in the endzone after he puts up a 50 burger. Gotta actually stop him a few times before you can call him out. Feels like we’re jumping the gun just a smidge. Leave that stuff to keyboard warriors like myself. Bear Down.
