Turns Out That Sidney Crosby Fella Is Still Pretty Good
2 goals and 4 points tonight in Pittsburgh’s 6-2 win over the Ducks. That makes a 11-game point streak for 87. 22 points in the last 11 games. 8 points in this past week alone. 53 total points on the year so far which is good enough to throw him in the top 5 in the league. Remember when he fucking sucked nuts in the beginning of the season? Yeah, those were some good times.
I hate everything about Sidney Crosby. I hate that he’s a Penguin. I hate that he’s a Canadian. I hate that he’s won a Stanley Cup. I hate that he’s won Olympic gold medals. I hate his face. I hate his car. I hate his dog and whenever he has a child, I’ll hate that little shit too. But with all that being said, I have to respect the guy. He became the fastest active player to reach 900 points the other night and he’s been leading the Pens on a pretty solid run over the past month. I guess the only thing I can do right now as a salty Flyers fan is hope the Penguins are getting too hot too early in the year. Can they keep this up for the next 2-3 moths? Can a team with virtually nobody on defense survive a 7-game series in the playoffs? I sure as hell hope not. But for the time being, you have to respect what Crosby is doing right now. No matter how much it pains you to say it.
Kessel has 14 points in his last 16 games, too. So yeah, I hate everything. Hagelin scoring his first goal as a Penguin against the team that just traded him was pretty poetic, though.
