Postal Worker On Workman's Comp Convicted Of Fraud After Her Appearance On Price Is Right Shows Her Spinning The Wheel

GREENVILLE, N.C. — A former North Carolina postal carrier has reportedly been convicted of fraud following her appearance on a TV game show. According to WRAL, Cathy Wrench Cashwell filed worker’s compensation paperwork in 2011 claiming she couldn’t lift mail trays into a truck due to a shoulder injury she received in 2004 while on the job. However, when Cashwell appeared on “The Price is Right” in September 2009, she was able to spin “the big wheel” twice, WRAL reports.

Federal investigators tell WRAL Cashwell “knowingly lied” in 2011 when she filled out paperwork that claimed she “couldn’t stand, sit, kneel, squat, climb, bend, reach or grasp.” An indictment from September 2012 read that, during her “Price is Right” appearance, Cashwell “raised her left arm above her head and griped the handle with her left hand,” then, on a second spin, “raised both arms above her head and gripped the same handle with both hands,” according to WRAL. WRAL reports Cashwell pleaded guilty to fraud on Monday in federal court.  Her sentencing is set for September.

So if I’m reading this correctly, this woman got to spin the big wheel twice and all she did was lose her job and get convicted of fraud? Ummm, where’s the bad part? I’m not trying to sound like a hardo here but I would ABSOLUTELY trade my job and some fraud probation for a chance to spin the wheel on Price Is Right. Add in some plinko, a showcase with one of those camper trailers that only 70 year old retirees use and Bob Barker and I would probably go to federal pound me in the ass prison for a decade. Not even joking here. If you’re a Price Is Right Fan, a true fan of the show, you would trade just about anything to get up there and let it ride. So I’m sure everyone on the internet is probably laughing at Cathy because she’s a “moron” for going on the Price Is Right and basically convicting herself,  but if we’re being honest, the only feeling I have is that of insane jealousy.
