I actually like this move. Ease everyone into it. Sort of like when you were in High School and you stole your dad’s liquor. You didn’t just outright rob him. You slowly replaced all of the bottles with water until he craved the taste of diluted whiskey. Does this analogy work? In my head it did, written out I’m concerned I may be a full blown moron but you get my point. Make me look at a giant shower curtain for 2 years and I’ll be thrilled when the jumbotron shows up.
