It’s a big week of stats this week. Everyone citing this reason or that reason why the Patriots have either a 100% chance of victory or barely a prayer. Brady is 2-6 in Denver, Peyton is 3-12 when the other team score 19 or more, Brady is 0-2 against Manning in the playoffs in the last decade, in Brady/Manning matchups road favorites are 4-0 ATS, etc., etc.

But here’s one people might not realize, and if you ask me it’s the most telling stat of all: the New England Patriots have never lost a playoff game if a defensive player saved a woman from a car wreck that playoff season. Whenever a Patriot turns into a superhero then they never lose again for the rest of the season. Undefeated all-time. In history. Last year Vince Wilfork rescued a woman on route 1 after the AFC Championship and the Patriots never lost again. This year, Darius Flemin is karate kicking windows like Mac from Always Sunny and… well, if history tells us anything, the Patriots are never going to lose again. I’m not necessarily a guy who puts a ton of stock in stats, but this one is too glaring to ignore.
