SportsDay- Dallas Jesuit graduate Jordan Spieth has another big mega-mansion in his portfolio. Last year, the world’s No. 1 golfer bought a $2.3 million Preston Hollow home. It’s nice, but it doesn’t compare to the nearby home of fellow pro golfer Hunter Mahan and his wife, Kandi, a former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader.  Now Spieth has reportedly purchased Mahan’s home, which was listed by Dallas real estate pro Erin Mathews of the Mathews-Nichols Group of Allie Beth Allman for $8.495 million. Candy Evans, a real estate blogger, reports Spieth purchased it in December for $7.1 million. The Santa Barbara-style home sits on more than an acre in the gated Creeks of Preston Hollow community.  In addition to the 10,000-square-foot-plus main house, there is the underground 12-car garage with the adjoining indoor basketball court that tops 6,000 square feet. As of August, we hear the garage features a mural of the clubhouse at Augusta National, home of the Masters. Should fit Spieth well since he’s the defending Masters champion.

Yet another reminder that it’s good to be king.  Jordan Spieth dropping a cool $8 million on a Dallas house previously owned by fellow golfer Hunter Mahan.  Now if you’re saying to yourself, “Hey wait a second, didn’t Spieth buy a multi-million dollar mansion just a few months ago?” then you’d be correct.  He did back in March.  However that one only cost him $2.3 million. He was a different person back then. He had zero majors and hadn’t burst onto the scene as THE next guy. Well now he has two majors and he is THE guy and he needed the house to match. This new house seems pretty decent I suppose. Elevator, 12-car garage, indoor basketball court, pool, the works.

What are the chances he bought the house for this reason and this reason alone?  Be honest, Jordan.

As of August, we hear the garage features a mural of the clubhouse at Augusta National, home of the Masters. Should fit Spieth well since he’s the defending Masters champion.

This is yet another reason why MTV needs to bring back Cribs. It’s another reason why MTV Cribs should have never gone away in the first place.  Or if Jordan would be nice enough to allow Barstool over at his house we could do an edition of The Life there. I just don’t understand why a show like MTV Cribs ever went away. Did celebrities and athletes stop buying giant mansions?  Clearly not. There is endless material.  There’s always a new crop of actors and actresses and athletes who are coming into large amounts of money for the first time.  Spieth is a great example.  The guy just made $53 million in a calendar year. Of course he’s gonna upgrade from that 2.3 million dollar shanty he bought in March to an 8 million dollar baller pad. Now let us bring cameras over so we can snoop through your giant new house.
