Does This Look Like The Face Of A Folk Singer From Oregon Who Is Traveling To Syria To Play A Concert For ISIS And Help Them Stop Being Terrorists?
FOX NEWS – An Oregon folk singer plans to leave next week to serenade the Islamic State, and he intends to bring the black-clad barbarians a prayerful message of peace — despite a warning from the State Department that his life could be in danger.
James Twyman, of Portland, Ore., told FoxNews.com he feels a “calling” and believes he can soften the hearts of the Islamist army known for beheading Westerners, throwing gays off of buildings and summarily executing innocent women and children.
“It’s going to be pretty powerful,” Twyman said, referring to his plan to have those attending and others around the world sing and pray for peace at the same time. “When people come together and focus on something in a positive way…there’s scientific evidence that it can change things for the better.”
The author and self-styled “Peace Troubadour” has put traditional prayers from various faiths to song. Twyman performed in Baghdad in the late 1990s after Operation Desert Storm; in Bosnia and Croatia during the Balkan War in 1995 and has even performed previously in Syria to spread his message of peace through song.
Twyman leaves Jan. 20, and plans to stop in Italy before heading to Israel. From there, he will then cross over the northern border shared with Syria to a small Druze village.
While that village, Majdal Shams, is occupied by Israel, Twyman said he has contacts there trying to set up a venue in ISIS-controlled territory. Either way, the show is set for Jan. 31.
“I felt the calling to do this,” Twyman told FoxNews.com.
Twyman said he will be joined by a large group of Jewish, Muslim and Christian leaders.
“Each one will lead the group in prayer from their religion,” he said. “It’s going to be pretty powerful.”
…
I’ll tell you what, when I woke up this morning I did not expect to have a plan in place to defeat ISIS, and I certainly didn’t expect it to come at the hands of James Twyman, the Peace Troubador of Oregon. Yet here we are. The American hero we need and we deserve, no matter how cool he tries to play it:
Hey man if you insist on commiting suicide, can you at least strap a bomb to your chest and take as many of these fuckers out with you as possible? Give them a little taste of their own medicine? I mean not to be cynical or anything. Just in case your plan doesn’t work. Just in case ISIS terrorists known for throwing gays off buildings, executing mothers in front of their children, and beheading every Westerner they come across don’t immediately respond to the power of your folk songs. Like a backup plan if you will. Dazzle them with your message of peace and love and gentle strums of your guitar, but keep 100 pounds of C4 firmly secure to your chest as a worst case scenario type deal.
Seriously when this guy gets kidnapped 0.4 seconds after stepping foot on Syrian soil I better not hear one fucking peep about negotiations for his release or prisoner swaps or something. Not one American boot touches the ground to try and save this asshole.
Twyman says that officials from the State Department reached out to him and urged him to cancel.
“They have advised me not to go,” he said.
Twyman believes he must go, despite the dangers.
“I’m no sort of hero, but I do believe in the power of this.”
PS,
Imagine if this actually works? If this goober holds his little peace concert and ISIS just completely stops and disbands? Oh man, there’d be a lot of questions to answer in the State Department. We spent HOW MUCH on drones and missiles?!? When all we needed was the fucking Peace Troubador!?
