Would you look at that? I am pretty sure that most of our families didn’t even want to be associated with us when we were 20 (*while we are 20 or when we become 20 for you young’ns). Meanwhile Kristaps Porzingis has an entire town (village? province?) basically hitching its wagon to his star and banking on people crossing the Atlantic and the Baltic for a pilgrimage to see where basketball was reborn. And I can’t blame them. It’s not every day that the King of New York is from some tiny, anonymous European city. This is like when James Earl Jones rants about how people will come to Iowa to see the Field of Dreams. Ohhhh people will come Liep?ja. People will most definitely come.
That being said, Latvia not having the @Latvia Twitter handle is some real life poor country shit. Be better, Latvia. And make sure every single one of your citizens stuffs the #NBAVote ballot box so Godzingis is playing in the All-Star game this year.
