Fun Season Comes To An End

What a fun season. 9-7, NFC East title, and a home playoff game. For a rebuilding team, that’s pretty fucking good. I didn’t expect them to win the Super Bowl. I mean shit, for the first time in 15 years this team finally got a GM in Scot McCloughan. No more trading draft picks for TJ Duckett, but trading for draft picks and building a solid core. Guys like Preston Smith, Crowder, Scherff, Compton, Dunbar, and others all stepped into roles and played their asses off. So no, there’s no tears or any of that. That’d be ridiculous. The best comparison I can make is to the Cubs last season- weren’t supposed to be as good as they were, rookies and young vets stepped up, and they have a bright future ahead. Kirk is going to be signed long term, Jordan Reed is one of the best TE’s in the league, Scherff and Williams play great on the Oline, Baker and Kerrigan play great on the defensive side of the ball, Breeland is still getting better, and Matt Jones looks very promising. The coaching staff is young and bright, Dan Snyder is staying out of everything besides signing paychecks, and this team is good and fun again. Lots to build upon, looking forward to next year.
One last time for me Kirk!
