Eagles Coaching Search Update: Adam Gase Is In Philly, Doug Marrone Out, Sean McDermitt Not Getting Love, Patricia In The Mix

NJ.com -T he Eagles are reportedly set to interview Gase on Tuesday. It is unclear where the interview will take place.

So…it’s looking more and more likely Lurie and his gang are going to be scouring through a dozen or so interviews to land their man. I’m 100% fine with them taking their time, unless who they want is a hot commodity – I.E. Adam Gase. As I said before, I think the only real reason I like Gase is because everyone is telling me to like him. The dude seems credible, smart, young, fresh. A certified solid pick as of now in everyone’s eyes. If he basically blows Lurie and Roseman under the table then maybe give him an offer on the spot? I mean, why not? The only thing you’re really holding out for that would be considered a better play is maybe Sean Payton, and that could take a good deal of time and negotiation. It might be a wise move to lock down who you want instead of having to settle down the line for a Sean McDerrmit – Whom is openly begging for a job instead of working on his championship defense on a bye week. Insiders are saying Lurie somehow is NOT in love with him. That’s a serious decent shock to the soul. I guess Juan Castillo may want to withdraw his application, too. Fuck Doug Pederson while we’re at it, just because.

Other rumblings – Meh Dough Marrone is out of the race, which is good. Giants OC Ben McAdoo is gaining some steam in Rumorville, too. I would LOVE for them to at least talk to Pats D-Genius Matt Patricia, who people are saying Lurie has some wood for. Unfortunately, so do the Browns, Dolphins and Giants. Other than that, seems like it’s the same shit, different day.
