The Rams, Raiders, And Chargers All Filed Applications To Move To Los Angeles

I’ve long been obsessed with this new LA football stadium that the Raiders and Chargers want to build and play in together, which looks like it’ll be a masterpiece when it’s built:

And then you have the fact the Rams owner already purchased land to build himself a privately funded stadium out in LA

Is it possible we go from 0 teams in LA to 3? Looks like that’s the plan if everyone gets their way. I guess that’s what happens when you make your football team play in the dark (St. Louis) on a fucked up baseball field (Oakland) or in a stadium built during the Civil War (San Diego). Are two of them going to share the Coliseum until their stadiums are built? And then what happens to team number 3? Does Goodell now get to play favorites and decide who moves where? It certainly looks like it.

And the best part of all of this, of course, is the residents of LA could give a fuck less about having a football team. Can’t wait for 2 half-filled stadiums every Sunday because people can’t be bothered to leave brunch to watch Phillip Rivers throw picks. Ten years max until the Raiders are back in Oakland and the Rams are in London.
