I Love That John Harbaugh Is Joining The NBC Crew In Studio On Super Bowl Sunday

Ravens –  Head Coach John Harbaugh will be gracing the television booth on Super Bowl Sunday. According to NBC, Harbaugh will be part of the pre-game, halftime and post-game broadcast along with Bob Costas, so he’ll be a face fans see a lot. Harbaugh will team with former NFL head coach turned analyst Tony Dungy and former Patriots safety turned analyst Rodney Harrison on the “Coach’s Clicker” segment looking at schemes and tendencies of both teams. The charismatic and informative Harbaugh has good perspective on the Patriots’ schemes considering he has seen them so many times over the years, including just three weeks ago in the AFC divisional round. Harbaugh has also faced the Seattle Seahawks in 2011. Harbaugh can also shed light on what it’s like to prepare for the Super Bowl considering he won it two years ago. This season, Harbaugh once joked with reporters that maybe he would be doing their job if he wasn’t coaching football. Now Harbaugh will get a taste, and considering how good he is in front of a camera, it should be a pleasure to watch.

I love this in so many ways. Yeah, obviously I’d rather have him on the sidelines on Sunday, but it wasn’t in the cards this year. This is the next best thing. Obviously the storyline here is that he’s going to be in studio talking about the Patriots, who he may or may not have sabotaged this past week. But I think he’d take this opportunity regardless of who was playing on Sunday. The guy is just like his brother, he eats, sleeps, and breathes football. Every single player he coached in the Pro Bowl came away glowing about his enthusiasm towards the game. The world needs more Harbaugh. Even Steelers players were dying for more Harbs. John just isn’t as demonstrative and over-the-top as Jim so he doesn’t get the shine.

Now whether or not he had anything to do with this deflate gate business is unclear. I don’t trust Jay Glazer as far as I could throw him. But I’d like to think he did it. If that cocksucker Tom Brady wanted to start a war over the rulebook when he’s been circumventing it the whole time, then he got one. Harbaugh knows the rules of how an unbalanced line works. He used it extensively a few years back. He was merely commenting on the fact that the officials did a shoddy job in the reporting process. Tom Brady took it upon himself to get on his high horse and talk down to Harbs like the pompous prick that he is. And now his poor wittle feelings are hurt because he’s been exposed. Boo-hoo.

This is setting up oh so perfectly. The Pats contingency has convinced themselves they’re going to be more motivated to win a Super Bowl because of a deflated ball controversy. It’s complete delirium. It’s the SUPER BOWL. It’s complete nonsense to suggest a team in the Super Bowl could possibly have room for further motivation. Both teams are going to bring their best. And the smug look on John’s face after the Seahawks raise the Lombardi is going to be so priceless. I can’t fucking wait.
