Bill Burr's "F Is For Family" Animated Deal Is Coming To Netflix

Cartoons are always a risky proposition. They can either be hilarious, refreshing, and realistic – a la The Simpsons circa seasons 2-7 – or be over the top, pun driven, and a quick way to make an easy buck – a la The Simpsons the last 472 seasons. Yeah there’s winners like Archer, South Park, or whatever you can get stoned to the bejesus and enjoy on the Cartoon Network. But still, it seems off. However, Bill Burr is WAY overdue for his own creative outlet outside of stand-up. So at least he waited for something where he has complete control. If you’ve listened to his Monday Morning Podcast you know his hard ass childhood with the drunken father is hilarious stuff. There should be unlimited material for F Is For Family. Now it’s just a question whether it translates and does well, but even if it sucks I’m going to binge like a bulimic chick on Häagen-Dazs on this. Gotta support the team.

Annndddd if it doesn’t work out Ol’ Billy Boy de Gingertits will have the stage and the podcast to entertain the masses. That shit will never get old because he’s one of the few left who just tells it like it is, no matter what.
