The Liberty will kickoff April 2016 in the LFL’s Eastern Conference alongside the Chicago Bliss, Omaha Heart and Atlanta Steam, hosting (2) home games at Verizon Wireless Arena with the home opener on Saturday, June 25 vs. Chicago Bliss and the home finale on Saturday, July 23 vs Atlanta Steam. “Launching a New England franchise was a goal we set at the inception of the sport in 2009. However, we could not locate the right arena or stadium partner. Am I personally insulted that I had to learn about this development through a press release? Yes I am personally insulted. I kind of always saw myself as the unofficial ambassador of the LFL. I always thought I’d be the big swinging dick to bring the LFL to New England. I always thought I’d be a coach/GM type of guy. I always thought the name of the team would be the New England Smut. Whatever. I’m not going to let my ego get in the way here. I want to be involved. I want to scout. I want to help take this team to the top. Because if there are two things that I does it’s win football championships and find hot chicks.
