Seth Rollins Tore His ACL, MCL, And Meniscus Putting Kane Through a Table---Is Out For 9 Months And Has To Vacate The Title

WNS – WWE has officially announced that the injury recently suffered by Seth Rollins during Wednesday night’s WWE live event in Dublin, Ireland is much worse than originally anticipated, as Rollins has torn his right ACL, MCL, and medial meniscus. Former WWE and current ESPN commentator Jonathan Coachman has also reported via his official Twitter page that Rollins will be out of action for six to nine months as a result.

Badddddd news. Brutal injury for the Champ at a show in Dublin. Entire knee just gave out on him, and he still put Kane through the table. But now is out 6-9 months with a torn ACL, MCL, and meniscus. Has to forfeit his WWE Title, and just like that, a new Champ will be crowned at Survivor Series at the end of the month.

There’s no details on how the tournament will be run or who will be in it.

I have two predictions: First, the one I wouldn’t hate as much as the one I think is more likely: Roman Reigns, the current number 1 contender, will win his first WWE championship on the 22nd at Survivor Series. Kevin Owens and Ambrose are feuding for the IC. Vince hates Cesaro. Ziggler…maybe? Maybe they give him a run with it, but I’m leaning towards no.

And then prediction 2, which makes a ton of sense and everyone will hate it: There’s of course always the chance Cena wins the title. Yea, sure, he’s “out” filming a TV show until late December. But this is John Cena we’re talking about. Is he ever really “out” of the title picture?

It makes too much sense, actually— Cena wins and Sheamus cashes in. Cena is out filming his TV show, Sheamus has the MITB briefcase. Sheamus becomes a placeholder, and eventually loses it to Reigns. That puts Reigns over a heel, and sets up for Cena to come back and win the Rumble, setting up Reigns vs Cena at Wrestlemania. If you don’t think Cena is breaking Ric Flair’s record for most WWE Championships at WM at Cowboys Stadium in front of 100k people, you just haven’t been paying attention for the last decade. Of course that’s happening. Now, I’m not totally convinced it’ll be against the heir apparent Reigns, because they don’t want to book him weak, but I’m convinced it’s happening.
