DeSean Jackson Says He's Ready To Play...Pray For The Patr....Ehh...Let's Hold Off On That

Classic good news, bad news situation. Good news: DeSean Jackson appears to finally be ready to play since injuring his hammy 12 years ago. It’ll be great to have a weapon to stretch the field, open up the run game, take the safety over the top off of Jordan Reed, and overall just make the offense much better. When DeSean is on the field, even as a decoy, it changes all the dynamics. So that’s the good news.

The bad news is well…the Patriots are really fucking good. You’d have to be delusional to say otherwise. But the beauty of the NFL is anyone can win any given Sunday. It’s a bit (a lot) harder against the Pats, but we’ve seen upsets before, it’s not that unheard of. If the Skins get the bounces, the fluke plays, all of the above, certainly they can win the game. Shit, we almost saw the Jets do it 2 weeks ago.

The Skins have game-changers on the team. They have Kirk Cousins (BUY A SHIRT!) who can game-manage with the best of them. Basically if the Skins want to win this game they have to bore the hell out of the Pats, dink, dodge, dip, dive, duck, and dodge their way down the field. Keep the ball out of Brady’s hand and when he does have it, keep the pressure on him. The Skins do have a good Dline who have been able to pressure QBs this season.

Nothing is impossible, but I’d be a fool to be going into this game with high hopes or expectations. The Skins aren’t going to roll over for the Pats, that’s not in their DNA this year. This team scraps and claws.

A horror film. We know this. Game planning for Brady and Gronk is a nightmare. There’s some stat about teams that throw as much as the Pats do and how few games they win….expect for the Pats who win like 90% of those games. It’s insane.
