Larry David Made A Surprise Return To SNL Last Night And Did A Perfect Bernie Sanders Impression

Home run.  That’s a home run for all parties involved.  Anybody who has watched Bernie Sanders for more than two seconds knows that he’s basically Larry David.  They look the same.  They have the exact same Brooklyn accent. They might actually be the same person. It’s uncanny. It made all the sense in the world to bring Larry back to SNL to do an impression of Sanders.  I’m just glad he agreed to do it. He nailed the mannerisms too. Arms flying all over the place. Larry even threw in some Seinfeld/Curb observational humor for good measure. Somebody tweeted at me the other night that Bernie Sanders is Larry David when Larry David is playing George Steinbrenner on Seinfeld. That’s perfect too.  The only other impression that would’ve been as good as that would’ve been if Chris Farley were still alive to make a triumphant return to SNL when all the Rob Ford shit was going on. Alas. Larry David as Bernie Sanders needed to happen and I’m so very happy it did.
