Last Night's South Park Tore Apart PC Culture And Mob Mentality (Basically An Entire Episode Dedicated To Feminist Hockey Twitter)

South Park is in a league of it’s own right now. Last year’s season was number 18 and is in my top 5 favorite seasons of all time. Every episode was solid, nothing was mailed in, and they were funnier than ever. Last night was the season 19 premier and it didn’t miss a step. Great episode that revolved around how PC everyone has to be now, from not using the word “spokesman” to demanding you call Caitlyn Jenner a hero, regardless of it you think she’s a good person or not….and then the backlash that happens when you don’t conform to the mob mentality.

We were introduced to PC Principal and his PC bros

who will attack and attack and attack you if you think any differently than them, often times going out of their way to harass you. Just reminded me so much of hockey twitter, who get offended over everything, but then belittle you if you don’t agree with them. That’s how Cartman ended up like this:

The episode also included Subway Jared, 100 pregnant Mexicans, and taco cannons

The end of the episode was a bit inconspicuous, as Kyle didn’t give his normal big speech about what he learned, but instead cracked to the PC bros and said Caitlyn Jenner is a hero. A lot of people are confused by what the ending meant. It seemed like maybe it was Trey and Matt talking to Comedy Central, perhaps there is behind the scenes drama about toning down the show? That’s one theory. Another theory is this entire season will be themed in this way, PC vs non PC and the fight against the PC mob. A third theory is just not to think too much into it, but that’s rarely the case with South Park.

Lots of great lines and scenes last night. Randy talking hungover the entire time was great, the Tom Brady stuff was good, calling rape a “Hot Cosby”, and the Brett Favre fake clap all stood out off the top of my head. All in all, a solid B to start off the season.
