The Computer Animated POV Footage Of What Will Be The World's Tallest Roller Coaster Being Built In Orlando Looks Really Lame
NYDN - Walt Disney World is looking to have a towering — and some could say frightening — new neighbor. The world’s tallest roller coaster has been unveiled for construction in Orlando, Fla., along with a stomach-turning video showing a first-hand look from onboard the ride. “Skyscraper,” a 570-foot metal monster set to begin construction in 2015, will feature speeds up to 65 mph while spiraling brave passengers outside of an entertainment complex and observation deck. “Skyscraper will not only take riders higher than ever before, but also introduce one thrill right after the next — there’s no ‘down time’ on this four-minute coaster experience,” Michael Kitchen, president of US Thrill Rides, told the Orlando Sentinel. “It is an absolute cutting-edge engineering marvel that will deliver pure adrenaline unlike any roller coaster in the world today.” The thrill ride, situated on International Drive near the Universal Orlando Resort and the further-back Disney theme parks, is expected to open in 2016. The current record holder for the highest roller coaster is the 456-foot “Kingda Ka” thriller, located at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, N.J., which is also the world’s second fastest at 128 mph, according to the Roller Coaster DataBase.
So this roller coaster is some bullshit right? Here we were all thinking they built this super awesome roller coaster, but it doesn’t even go fast. It doesn’t even have a big drop. It doesn’t even have a loop d loop. It does nothing. It just goes in circles. I could build this thing in my back yard if I felt like it. Not really, but that’s not the point. The point is if you’re going to build the world’s tallest roller coaster, don’t jizz on me and tell me it’s snowing. I don’t care if this roller coaster is tall enough to go through the sun before returning back to Earth, it was the most boring POV footage I’ve seen in my life. I fell asleep on the roller coaster and I haven’t even ridden it. If you choose to go on this fraud of a roller coaster instead of money Space Mountain or anything at Universal get out of my life.
