JMU And Virginia Tech Will Honor The Two Reporters Who Were Killed Last Week With Helmet Decals
Bog - James Madison University will honor JMU alum Alison Parker and co-worker Adam Ward, the two journalists who were shot and killed on live TV last week, during Saturday’s football opener against Morehead State. A moment of silence and video board tribute will precede the 6 p.m. kickoff. JMU players will wear helmet decals featuring Parker and Ward’s initials, ribbons in their school colors and the No. 7, in reference to the CBS affiliate in Roanoke (WDBJ-7) where they both worked. Virginia Tech, Ward’s alma mater, will wear similar decals for its season opener on Monday.
Class on class on class. So glad to see this. The way the news cycle works it’s easy to forget the tragedy that happened not too long ago, so I’m just very happy to see their alma maters will be honoring Alison and Adam on Saturday and Monday. With those helmets and the decals, it’s now entirely possible VTech stuns OSU for the second straight year.
