People Are (Pretending To Be) Outraged That Eminem Didn't Censor Himself During Last Night's Concert on the National Mall

NYDN - Eminem swore like a sailor during HBO’s Veterans Day concert, injecting fire and controversy into the broadcast during his time onstage. The pallor rapper turned “The Concert for Valor” on its head late Tuesday when he opened his set by wishing everyone a “Happy motherf—ing Veterans Day.” The crowd on hand at the National Mall in Washington, D.C. didn’t seem to mind Eminem’s boundless energy, but those watching the broadcast at home got an unexpected barrage of F-bombs hurled their way. The 42-year-old’s brand of explicative-laced rap was the ultimate high-wire act at the free concert, put on by Chase Corp., HBO and Starbucks. And he delivered a little of everything in the process.

Another day, more fake outrage, hooray! This time over Eminem not cleaning up his act at last night’s “Concert For Valor” in DC on the National Mall. Did anyone really expect him to? He’s Eminem! He does whatever he wants, and you either like it or you don’t. Em doesn’t “clean it up” to appease you or your interest group. And I’m sure he didn’t tell the organizers that he would. But it still didn’t stop people from bitching about it, saying it was inappropriate and all that other nonsense. Not to get all rah-rah, but Veterans serve so Em can get up there and drop f bombs in front of millions of people. It was the most American thing I had ever seen. I was actually offended Rihanna didn’t strip and dry hump the Washington Monument. She was being all classy n shit when I expected her to rip off her clothes and sit on Abraham Lincoln’s face at any moment.
