Dear SEC Friends: It's Currently Snowing In The Midwest, But Happy One Month Until The College Football Playoff Starts!
Good morning to all of my friends below the Mason-Dixon Line, specifically the good people of the SEC! I just wanted to take a quick moment to wish you all a Happy November 21st, or in football terms, one month until the College Football Playoff! As we all know, Greg Sankey and the committee are doing their very best to load the bracket up with teams from the Southeastern Conference, but no matter what the media machine from SEC-ESPN says, they still only get one Bye. And if you look at the bracket as it is constructed right now, it appears everyone except the conference champion will be heading on the road in the first round...
Those are some great First Round games! Now, as a friend of the SEC and all of college football in general, I do want to give a quick weather report to the teams that will be making the trek to the midwest for their away matchups. Here is the current situation at the schools that, as of now, would be hosting on December 21st:
Columbus, Ohio: 32 degrees and snowing
State College, Pennsylvania: 34 degrees and raining
Notre Dame, Indiana: 31 degrees and raining
Bloomington, Indiana: 32 degrees and snowing
Now it's important to remember that we're still a month out, so there's a good chance it's substantially colder by the time we actually kick off. My advice to the Georgias and Alabamas and Ole Miss and Tennessees of the world is to get a nice jacket, some thick gloves, some long underwear, a TON of alcohol, or to just lose this week and avoid not only having to come up here and freeze your ass off, but to have to get your ass kicked while doing so. See you guys soon!
