CJ Stroud Has Signed With Ohio State's NIL Foundation As A Major Donor To Fill Future Recruits Pockets

If you were to look up the phrase "The Rich Get Richer" in a dictionary of common sayings, I'm fairly certain this tweet would be an illustrated example. I mean, find more a more textbook definition than the fact that THE Ohio State Buckeyes have brought in the #1 QB, #1 Safety, #1 Runningback, #1 Center, and #7 overall player out of the transfer portal.......BEFORE the NFL's hottest up and comer and most popular player in the league got involved. And now he's going to not only become a "Platinum Donor", but he's obviously going to help in other aspects of bringing the best players in the country to Columbus, Ohio is flat out monumental. Honestly, I was under the impression that this whole NIL / Collectives / Transfer Portal situation was supposed to bring parity to the sport. But correct me if I'm wrong, it just seems like once the big dogs (Ohio State) figured it out, the gap is going to expand even more.

And look, I'm not above criticizing the Buckeyes. I get they have lost to Michigan 3x in a row and the Wolverines just won a National Title on Ryan Day's watch. There's no denying it, and even with the sign stealing allegations, there's no taking it away from them. But if we're looking at simply moving forward, it's crystal clear who is about to take over the College Football world....

And if you think the Buckeyes are even close to being out of cash, think again. We now just added CJ Stroud and his tens of millions of dollars to the Platinum Donor list as well. And let me be the first to say Thank You to CJ. I know people get on him (rightfully) for never beating Michigan despite an otherwise successful career, but he's clearly doing his part to make sure no one else has to leave with that reputation.

Speaking of Michigan, their fans are already crying.....

What does that even mean? You guys didn't have transfer portal players this year….? Your players didn't have NIL deals? Bullshit. CJ Stroud is out here being named a Platinum Donor in his rookie season. If only Michigan had a quarterback that made a few bucks in his career that he could give some back to the program. Or maybe a media mogul from the school could empty out the piggy bank every once in a while? If you're poor, just say it! Fly spirit, Portnoy!
