Hero Ball: Sydney Sweeney Wanted To Get a Breast Reduction When She Turned 18, But Her Mom Knocked Some Sense Into Her And Warned She'd Regret It Forever

A hero can come in many different shapes or sizes. Could be a team of firefighters battling a fiery blaze to save the lives of dozens trapped inside a burning building. Maybe it's a local farmer stopping the certain death of a cow ticketed for the slaughterhouse, and bringing that cow into a life of happiness and comfort. What about a doctor on board a plane giving CPR to a man having a heart attack? All certainly apply under the hero tag.

Well today our hero is Sydney Sweeney's mom who took a stand and urged her daughter to not get a breast reduction when she turned 18 in high school. She described the situation in an article today.

Regardless, Sydney isn’t letting it stop her from wearing what she wants. “Flaunt what you got. Own it. Love them,” she says. “When I was in high school, I used to feel uncomfortable about how big my boobs were and I used to say that when I turned 18, I was going to get a boob job to make them smaller. And my mom told me, ‘Don’t do it. You’ll regret it in college.’ And I’m so glad I didn’t. I like them. They’re my best friends. Everybody’s body is beautiful. When you are confident and you’re happy within is when it really shows to other people.”

We talk a lot about "what ifs" in the world. Brandon Roy's knees come to mind. Well, I can't imagine a world where Sydney Sweeney got a breast reduction in high school. There's an alternate reality out there somewhere where we're currently in a nuclear winter because Sweeney reduced her boob size before rising to stardom.

I really don't have much to add here other than we truly dodged a bullet as a society. I'm glad Sydney got to keep what she calls her "best friends" and our website continues to rake in a boat load of pageviews in the process. Everybody is happy and the world keeps spinning.
