Old Dominion Just Had the Collapse of the College Football Season, Losing in Overtime After Leading 28-0

Holy hell, Old Dominion. You're all familiar with 28-3, but the Monarchs authored the rare 28-0 collapse today in the Famous Toastery Bowl. ODU had a 99 percent chance to win as late as with just 3:00 left in the third quarter.

This is what Bowl Season is all about, man. Western Kentucky overcoming a four-touchdown deficit on a Monday afternoon to make every young football player's dream of hoisting the Famous Toastery Bowl trophy come true.

Absolutely nothing was going right for WKU when it had Turner Helton in the game at quarterback, who turned the ball over on both of his only two drives to hand Old Dominion a 21-0 lead just seven minutes into the game.

But then the Hilltoppers brought in freshman Caden Veltkamp, who completed 40 of 53 passes for 383 yards and five touchdowns as well as rushed for 53 yards. To say that kid is a Famous Toastery Bowl legend would be a massive understatement.

And you just knew the Monarchs had no chance when this game went to overtime, where the Hilltoppers blocked ODU's field goal attempt before nailing their own to finish off the comeback.

Just horrifying shit if you're an Old Dominion fan or bettor, like our own Jack Mac. Bowl Season is not for the weak. And we still have 35 more games to go, baby.
