CC Sabathia Was Involved In Fight In Toronto

TMZ – Yankees star CC Sabathia was leaving a Toronto nightclub when a massive fight broke out … and several people had to hold him back from the action.

The brawl broke out early Saturday morning outside EFS Nightclub … after the Yankees had won game 1 of their weekend series against the Blue Jays. CC stands out in the crowd for two reasons — he’s 6’7″ and he’s sporting BRIGHT red sneakers.

It’s unclear what sparked the fight — witnesses tell us hecklers were yelling “Go Blue Jays” — but Sabathia definitely looks like he WANTS to jump into the fray. Ultimately, a friend shoved him into a cab and he got outta Dodge.

That’s it, everyone gets a curfew now. This team has been too good and too lucky this whole year to ruin this spot by getting in nightclub fights in Toronto. I know it sucks that we have to worry about stuff like this but based on pictures, CC wasn’t alone at that club, and god forbid a good player got involved. Next thing you know Betances catches a murder charge cause he was trying to help CC out.

CC got scratched from tonight’s start, to apparently give the rotation and extra day of rest, but who knows if this played a role. It looks like he got stuffed in a cab and out of there quick but big guys being pushed around can lead to an ankle or knee injury. If Pineda pitched better last night I wouldn’t care, but we kind of need CC right now.
