Eagles Only Made The Super Bowl Last Season So Naturally Philly Sports Radio Thinks 'The Jury's Still Out' On HC Nick Sirianni

What a statement from NFL fullback/Cumberland Valley stud Jon Ritchie, a man who succumbed to so many blows he used to literally bleed from his forehead every time he put on his helmet.

And I like Jon Ritchie. A lot, actually. So I'll level with the man here. Multiple things can be true.

Did Nick Sirianni get his balls waxed and possibly cut off on the field by Andy Reid during the Super Bowl? Yes. Yes he did. Outcoached, outmanned, outgoosed in almost every way during the Big Game - ESPECIALLY in the second half.

However, did Nick Sirianni do enough during the season by leading his team to the #1 overall seed, winning the NFC, and developing Jalen Hurts into a MVP caliber player to garner the respect of being the Eagles head coach for the foreseeable future?

Yes. Yes he did enough. If Sirianni keeps getting to Super Bowls and proceeds to "Get his pants coached off by the guy on the other sideline", then maybe we can have a discussion. Just as one was had after a certain now God-status worthy head coach made it to 4-straight NFC Championships and 5 overall in over a decade but failed to ever win a Super Bowl. Decent problems to have, I guess.

Sure, Dougie P. got (imo unfairly) axed just 3 short years after winning the franchise's firs Lombardi, but for now at least give Sirianni the minimal amount of respect. You know, maybe not questioning if he's the guy THE VERY OFFSEASON HE LED HIS TEAM TO THE SUPER BOWL. Christ on a cracker, WIP. The more Angelo Cataldi leaves, the more things stay the same.

Get ready, people. Training camp is right around the corner. Go Birds.
