It's A Huge Week Coming Up For Everybody's Favorite Hockey Player, Future Considerations

At this point you'd have to imagine he just lives out of a suitcase. It wouldn't make sense to unpack anything when he knows he's getting traded to a new city at some point over the next 365 days.
And today he's on his way to the City of Brotherly Love.
Fucking right, baby! Did Chuck Fletcher do it again or did Chuck Fletcher do it again? This dude knows how to build a dynasty. And it all starts with future considerations.
The thing about trading for future considerations is that you can never technically lose the trade. Because the trade is never over. Who knows when and where those future considerations will come to fruition. Could be a year from now, could be 7. All that matters is that the Nashville Predators now have to give Chuck Fletcher whatever he wants in the future. Them's the rules.
Everybody talking about Timo Meier this, Patrick Kane that, Jakob Chychrun the other thing. They're all perfectly fine players, don't get me wrong. But we know exactly who they are and what they are capable. The beauty of Future Considerations is that the possibilities are limitless. For all we know, this future consideration could become a Conn Smythe winner. You tell me who wins the trade if that's the case.
In all actuality, I would love to know how many trades for "Future Considerations" ever ended up being anything at all. I feel like those trades are like when you bump into someone at the bar you haven't seen in years, then drunkenly make plans to get together sometime. You never, ever end up actually getting together and you go another 5-7 years before you bump into each other again. Chuck Fletcher will forget those future considerations are even in play by the time he wakes up this morning.
But aside from how horrifically mismanaged the Philadelphia Flyers men's professional hockey team is, let's just hope that this wasn't the last time we see our guy Future Considerations traded this week. Always an electrifying move from GM's trying to salvage their job somehow.
