'Watching NFL Games is Harder than Playing in One' | Pro Football Football Show - Week 3WATCH NOW

Roofball Is My New Favorite Sport

The Big 4 Leagues better watch out. The Roofball Federation of America is here! This could be a real life Baseketball in the making. (This is from 2008, but was just posted to youtube a few months ago).

Remember when you were a kid, hanging out with all the other kids in the neighborhood and making up random games using whatever sports and/or household items you had around? Now, how cool would it be if those games were broadcast with quality video and audio production, a beautiful rendition of the Star Spangled Banner that is almost as good as Big Cat's, slow motion replay, and a solid announcer team? This is Roofball!

This feels like an old school Barstool video. Just guys being dudes trying to make athletic plays while wearing jeans and flip flops. It's like tailgating before a big game, but the tailgate is the game. I don't know why they waited 15 years to put this out, but we have it now and it's glorious.

The Rules are simple. The athlete throws the football on the roof and:

If it comes down and is caught, that's 1 point.

If it hits the pole, that's a "Ping" and is worth 5 points.

If it wraps around the pole, that's worth 10 points.

There are ways to lose points as well:

If the ball is thrown over the roof, that's -5 points and you have to go get the ball (squeak!)

There is also a car parked on the left side of the driveway that you'll want to steer clear of.
If the ball hits the car, that's -1 point.

Enough talk, let's get to the action! This is the 2008 Roofball World Championship.

Part 2:

I did some research and have learned the 2023 RFA Championship will be on March 18th at the same home in Beaverton, OR. That's less than a month away and all the way across the country, but who knows. Duggs just might make it!
