Chris Chase (Who I Guess Is A USA Today Blogger?) Went On D&C This Morning And Got Absolutely Crushed
Yikes was that tough to listen to. What goes through the mind of someone like this? Why agree to go on radio if you’re so woefully uninformed? Did you think the guys were just gonna play paddy cake with you and not ask any relevant questions? Good lord.
Chris Chase wrote an article about how Brady’s legacy is tarnished and blah, blah, blah. An article that’s been written by a million idiots over a billion times. He didn’t need to go defend himself. But, he wanted a taste of the spotlight, I guess, and it turned him into dust. He said Brady has never denied doing it, something everyone knows he has done time and time again. Then Chase was exposed for not reading the Brady transcript. “He was asked parsed questions designed by his $1000 an hour lawyers so he didn’t perjure himself.” He was? Pretty sure Reisner, the NFL’s attorney, had a pretty direct cross examination.
That strikes me as a pretty clear and outright denial.
Next he said Brady’s Facebook denial was hogwas because it was on Facebook. Something I agree with for regular people, just because it’s on Facebook doesn’t make it true. I’ve heard of Catfish, I get it. But, it’s pretty tough to deny that a public figure’s post on Facebook is a matter of public record. Whether it’s released through an agent or through Facebook, it’s a statement. No matter how you slice it. If Brady posted “I’m gay.” right now I’m pretty sure Chris Chase would report that Tom Brady is a homosexual.
Finally, Chase was exposed for not having read the Wells Report. Gerry did some topnotch lawyering and mousetrapped the hell out of him. “Did you read the Wells Report?” “I’ve answered that a million times.” “Did you read the part about McNally saying Brady didn’t tell him to do anything.” “I did.” Well that ain’t in there, bucko! And now Chase is trying to hide behind “I can’t remember every sentence.” But, it’s not like they asked him to recite a specific line on a specific page. He was asked about what would be a very main portion. Chase basically said “I did read Oedipus and my favorite part is when Charlotte makes that web.”
Just an overall destruction of a man. such a destruction, in fact, that it overshadowed the single dumbest sentence written in the history of the English language. “No one would have thought Brady was admitting guilt if he’d taken the four-game punishment.” Um, literally everyone would have. Including me. Accepting your punishment is the very definition of admitting guilt. But Chase would prefer you take an overlord’s spanking rather than fight back. He’s guilty for fighting for his innocence as far as Chris Chase is concerned. That’s the very definition of damned if ya do, damned if ya don’t.
Study harder next time, Chris. Or, study at all, I guess.
