GRIT: Lions RB Jamaal Williams Hates Losing So Much He Will Quite Literally Cry In The Team Huddle If He Thinks About It
Well shit. This is exactly how you sell me into this year's Hard Knocks. I know we've blogged about it before but the Lions have all the pieces for a great Hard Knocks team. Maybe not a great football team - it's the Lions, history is on my side there - but a great Hard Knocks team. Dan Campbell, Jamaal Williams, the city of Detroit. They are easy to root for. I've said it and I'll say it again. I've never met one person who actually hates the Lions. In fact it's the opposite way. Everyone has a soft spot for them.
I don't blame Jamaal here. He went from the Packers to the Lions. I too would cry about losing all the time. Losing sucks. That's why you need grit.
Okay maybe I can talk myself into thinking the Lions get 7 or 8 wins. Dan Campbell has that ability I guess. But this is about Jamaal Williams. What a turn in that huddle. He went from screaming to legit tears. That's how you know it's football season. When you think of losing, you start to cry.
PS: I really wish he full Knowshon there
