A new We Gotta Believe is out for everyone looking for some Mets content to watch as our boys try to adjust back to the glorious Eastern Time Zone. I know that headline seems optimistic for a team that allegedly had their season end because they lost two of three against the Padres.
However I'm not going to freak out for a team that is still the best team in the National League after what looked like a daunting road trip considering they have an MVP candidate hitting bombs like this mere days after his hand was supposedly shattered into a billion pieces.
A guy like this as their closer.
And a team full of professionals led by a three time Manager of the Year that is playing at this sort of pace.
Again, I know it is crazy to see a glass being half full let alone not shattered on the ground when two other teams in the Mets divisions decided not to lose a game for a week or so and may actually give us a real baseball season with a race for the pennant. I guess I just remember what this team's lineup looked like at this point last year.
Also this is the best stat I have heard all year by FAR, even though it doesn't seem possible to my dumb brain.
Gotta believe.
