The National Father's Day Council Has Named Ryan Day The 2022 FATHER OF THE YEAR

Let me say this: it's quite a breath of fresh air to see the head coach of an elite, top tier college football program have his priorities in order. But that's just how Ohio State football has always been. Woody Hayes, Jim Tressell, Urban Meyer, and now Ryan Day. Honorable men that put family first, football second. Meanwhile, you've got Nick Saban and Jimbo Fisher having a public back and forth over things like "buying players" and insinuating that they've been illegally recruiting for decades, calling press conferences just to bash the other. It's sad really. But while the SEC fights amongst themselves, Ryan Day is bringing people together. And those people are his family members.

And let's not act like this award was given to him because he's 34-4 overall as a coach, with 2 playoff appearances and a Rose Bowl title. Nope, he EARNED it, spending this past year teaching his son #lifelessons through #toughlove.

I wish my Dad was Ryan Day. Or at least that he just signed a new $9.5 million a year contract extension through 2028 like Coach did.
