THE FLORIDA PANTHERS HAVE WON A PLAYOFF SERIES FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE 1996 WITH AN OT WIN

Carter Verhaege is officially the leader in the clubhouse for the Conn Smythe. What a fucking series for that guy. The Cats finally get over the hump. My brother, as many of you know, works for the Panthers. They literally have not won a playoff series in his lifetime until now. Haven't been to the 2nd round since they went to the Stanley Cup Final in 1996.

This is the type of team and the type of moment that can make a hockey market come to life. The fans in South Florida have never really had a chance to get behind a team and now they do. This was incredible. Caps are dead. Cats have 9 lives. Took everything they had. Chiarot and Ekblad were absolute WARRIORS tonight battling through injuries and hopefully now they can get rest and treatment before the next series.

Side note...this first round has been absolutely spectacular. You don't get this in other sports. So much parity. Every team has a chance to be competitive.
