You may have heard but there's an MLB lockout going on and the whole thing fucking sucks. There's really nothing for me to say at this point because it's so well established that these owners are complete jagoffs. The kinda guys that deserve to get their ass kicked up one side and down the other without hesitation, reservation or even the faintest levels of mercy. If you're not in complete agreement on this matter then you're just stupid. Here's the most common retort: 

The players are millionaires too so I don't care about them either

People love hanging on to that sentiment even though it's the owners who are negotiating in bad faith. They're actively sabotaging these negotiations and they sincerely do not care about fans. Not one of those assholes can even pretend to care. It's laughable and embarrassing and it's exactly what we've predicted on Red Line Radio. 

Now comes today. 

We entered needing a miracle and instead we get this sequence of shit:

At this point we can just keep it real simple. The Owners DO NOT want to play baseball. They're terrified this deal will compromise future earnings that they're entitled to because they're the owners. They're "The League" whereas the players are "The Union." You don't have a union without a league is their argument. It's stupid. But the owners are just so utterly fucking entitled to the pie that they are blind to common sense. Blind to the needs of the common fan and the future of America's pastime.

Personally I would love an old fashioned boycott if there weren't drastic professional implications. As much as I would love to ignore these greedy assholes, I can't. I have to let Tom Ricketts and his buddies unmercifully shove their shit down my throat without recourse. Otherwise we start risking my guaranteed, inalienable rights as an American citizen and I'm not going down that path. 

Instead I want to talk the one thing Tom Ricketts and his friends care about more than anything else. REPUTATION. Right now Tom's is propped up by the 2016 success of dozens of other grown men. Tom thought new Wrigley would wow us but it's actually just more expensive and hypocritically not fun. So many classic institutions have fallen under his sword. From Red Ivy to McDonald's to Dark Horse and the 7-11. He then let Rizzo, Bryant and Javy Baez all go to new teams, all while we watched things completely fall apart the second Theo left his side. The same guy who didn't have the balls to bring back Jon Lester much less Sammy fuckin Sosa. And now his group of friends is sucking at least 4 weeks off the schedule because they need more than they already have. 

When you think about it like that, Tom Ricketts sucks. How long is this guy going to point to the 2016 championship banner like he personally willed the Cubs back from a 3-1 deficit? 

I'm sick of it. Sick of the arguing and the contracts and the lies. Sick of the owners acting like any fan actually cares or sympathizes with them. Sick of Rob Manfred acting like a rag doll and the overwhelming lack of progress. Basically just sick of everything. And sure as shit, these guys will come back in the not-too-distant future and act like they've been in the fans corner all along, doing whatever it takes to bring this product back. 

They're full of shit. Every single one of them. If you see your owner, tell him to his face. Call him a scumbag and tell him to sell the team. Not one nice word from anyone to any of these fuckfaces. That's all I ask. Start planting the seeds that their reputations are staked in glaringly weak foundations that are long  overdue to collapse. And once you start, don't stop. 

These guys crave legacy and I want to rewrite it on a large scale.

Fuck them. 

Every single one.
