All Is Right In The World As The Philadelphia Sixers Are The Most Important Team In Sports Again

The best teams in sports are the ones that people love, but more so people love to hate. Sports work best when there's a villain. The New England Patriots filled that role for the longest time. But now that the Pats are essentially just a colder version of the Jets, it's time to move on. It's time to find a new big bad. Time to find another team which everybody, no matter who you are or where you're from, has an opinion about one way or the other. A team that gets everybody talking and moves the needle just by simply existing.

That team is the Philadelphia 76ers.

It's taken 2 games in the James Harden era for the Sixers to apply a vice clamp grip on the balls of the national media. You've got bozos like this Jason McIntyre putz making it so preposterously clear that Sixers have scrambled his brain into a giant bowl of applesauce by saying Embiid (the frontrunner for MVP) and Harden aren't even a top 5 duo in the East.

Then on the other end of the spectrum, you have noted extremely good brain haver Kendrick Perkins making the claim that Embiid and Harden are the next Magic and Kareem. Never once in the history of this planet has Kendrick Perkins been wrong about anything, and I don't see that changing anytime soon after this take.

Now clearly we know there are clowns out there who have zero moral compass and don't give a shit about their own personal pride and integrity. They'll say shit just because they know it'll be good for the ratings. People like Jason McIntyre will say anything negative about a Philly team because he knows that Philly fans will take the bait every single time. But within maybe an hour of each other, you have the Sixers going from having the 6th best duo in the Eastern Conference right now to one of the greatest duos in league history.

At the end of the day, people lie but numbers don't. And the numbers say that the haters are in for a lonnnnng 4 months.

Everybody remembers those legendary York Larese teams. There's no stopping it now.
