Wild Move By Reims Starting Goalie To Hand Messi His Infant Son For A Picture On The Field, Seconds After Losing 2-0 To PSG
What are we doing here? I don't know if I've ever really seen this before at the professional level. We see guys taking pictures with each other, but they are typically college teammates or best friends or something like that. Bringing your own little kid on the field seconds after losing? Can't recall that too often. The game literally just ended and Reims starting goalie has his son on the field ready for a picture with Messi. Just ask Messi to meet you in the tunnel and then come back out after a few minutes. You can't be handing Messi your own infant son literally seconds after you lose 2-0. At least tie and then we can discuss it. I get that we're talking about an all-time great in Messi. I get we're talking about a somewhat historical moment with his first ever match for PSG. But you can't be this desperate. Play it cool. Maybe if you're the backup goalie you can get away with this, but you just started and gave up 2 goals. Sure you could celebrate that it was only 2 goals to PSG. And I don't want to hear anything about how his kid loves Messi. That kid doesn't know who Messi is. I say this as a father of a son around that age. He's 2. Unless Thomas the Tank Engine shows up, he doesn't give a flying fuck about a picture with Messi right this second. The goalie is holding a pacifier for crying out loud. That's why I say you wait a few moments before you get the picture.
Complete side note, I'm such a sucker for the PSG shorts. I love how they look like basketball shorts, especially with the Jordan logo. They are fire. I'd particularly love if everyone on PSG wore them like the early 2000s and TJ Ford.
