This Is The Best Catch I've Ever Seen That Didn't Count

If a catch looks this sweet it should count, I don't care where the player is when he catches it, it should be a catch. Last night Bowie Baysox outfielder Johnny Rizer chased down this ball into foul ground. It looked like there wouldn't be room to make a catch, but Rizer had other plans. Full on sprint towards the fence, Rizer gives 2 looks at the fence and leaps completely over it to make the catch in the bullpen. Maybe the smoothest catch I've ever seen. Didn't even think twice about the fence. Incredible hustle on a catch that didn't count. Look how far he had to run too, it's a super difficult catch and he made it look so easy. Of course it didn't count because the baseball rules say you can't jump over any fence in order to catch a ball. I call BS because again, anything that looks this cool should count. It's not like Rizer was over the fence, feet planted waiting for it to come down. He caught it while still in the air from jumping over the fence. Regardless it was an awesome play, one of the best plays I saw last night. It's an out in my book because of how awesome it was. Bring the playground aspect into baseball, especially in the minors. Little parkour never hurt anyone.
