There have been plenty of Jalen Hurts doubters over the past 12 or so months. Many folks out there question whether or not he has the arm strength and talent to be a true QB1 in the NFL.
Well here's the thing, you frickin' bozos. You don't even need to throw the ball if you're just going to run directly through every defender who comes your way. Sometimes people forget the easiest path to the end zone is a straight line. No need to go up in the air. No need for any fancy jukes or other lateral movements. Just put your shoulder down and put a hole through the defender's chest because you're just bigger, stronger, and tougher than they are. What other quarterback is loading up 620 on the deadlift bar like that? The answer is nobody.
Oh and by the way, notice how Jalen Hurts is getting after it in Lane Johnson's personal barn gym. He's grinding with his OL. He's been throwing to his receivers. The man works his ass off, is a natural leader, and clearly wants to be great. You can win with a guy like that. I truly have no idea why there are so many people out there who are so ready to write him off already before he even gets a chance to prove himself. I know that at the end of the day, talent wins in the NFL. But there's no reason to believe that all of this work won't translate into talent, and there's no reason to believe he can't be massively successful in Philadelphia. With the only caveat there being that you need to be realistic enough to understand that "massively successful in Philadelphia" doesn't mean being a Super Bowl favorite year in and year out.
