A Rutgers Football Player Got KNOCKED Out in a New Jersey Street Fight

Giphy Images.

This is a tough watch. The guy you see get knocked out in about 36 milliseconds is Rutgers freshman wide receiver Carnell Davis.

You can hear Davis say in the video that the other gentleman was apparently talking bad about his mom, which makes it that much worse that he defended his mother's honor with one of the quickest KOs ever recorded. He didn't even know that punch was on its way before he was on the ground.

You know how kids trying to act tough would always say something like, "There would be two hits in that fight: me hitting you and you hitting the ground"? This is maybe the first time I've actually seen that happen. Just one clean punch right to the jaw and straight to the pavement.

Press of Atlantic City — “Our main concern is Carnell’s health and well-being,” a Rutgers Football spokesperson said in a statement Tuesday. “He is home with his family and continues to make progress in his recovery. We look forward to getting him back on campus soon.”

When you get back on campus as a college football player after getting your ass kicked in a very public manner, do you get punished any more than that? I feel like running sprints is kind of pointless when he should have already learned a painful lesson.

Hopefully Davis is alright and has nothing more than a bruised ego. Another tough L for Rutgers football.
