The Suns Really Might Be The Team Of Destiny After Fernando The Sloth Picks Them To Win The NBA Title

This has been a historic season for the Phoenix Suns. Ever since that 8-0 run in the bubble everything's changed. It's hard to argue that this entire year they've done nothing but give off a Team Of Destiny vibe. Think about it, when it's happening in real time you sometimes don't put it all together. They were dominant from the start of the season until now. They had not one, but two gigantic playoff prayers between Paul George missing 2 huge FTs despite being a 86% playoff FT shooter as a Clipper. Then came the Valley Oop. Everything seems to be breaking their way.

Well now we can add Fernando the Sloth and his championship pick to the list. From what that clip tells us he might be more of a football guy than a basketball expert, but as a Suns fan I'm not questioning ANYTHING positive in regards to the Suns right now. This is not the time to think rational. You're in the NBA Finals for the first time since 1993 and have a damn good chance to win the first ever title in franchise history. Rational thinking went out the window a long time ago. Even if you felt good about their chances before, I don't know how you couldn't feel even better now that Fernando has made his choice. I get that it makes no sense yet at the same time it makes all the sense in the world. I do wonder about the conflict of interest seeing as how he lives in the Phoenix Zoo and what type of shenanigans might have gone on that we didn't see that helped the Suns odds of being picked. But again, as a Suns fan I wouldn't give a shit. I care about the result and this dude is rocking a perfect record when picking champions? That's more than enough.

I'm just not sure what else you could need to see in order to believe in this Suns team. They check all the boxes. On court production, solid coaching, elite talent, a balanced roster, and now Fernando the Sloth is on their side.

You then factor in the news that Giannis is iffy for Game 1, and everything seems to be breaking the Suns way. Tip off cannot come soon enough.
