I Couldn't Be Anymore Triggered That Billy Joel Didn't Open Up Madison Square Garden Last Night

Listen...I LOVE the Foo Fighters. Ever since Learn To Fly bumped through my gamecube whenever I played Sonic the Hedgehog back in the day I've been a massive fan. Hell, they played 2 nights at Citi Field a few years back & this guy was in attendance for both of those nights. Swell time. 10/10 would go again. I would've loved to be there last night, but I had just assumed the tickets were WAY too expensive and none of my friends would wanna go with me because they suck/pretend to spend ALL NIGHT with their Dads on Father's Day. I love my dad and I love Father's Day but you and I both know they could've skipped out on the festivities around 6-7pm to get to the concert by 8pm. That's neither here nor there.

The REAL problem here is that Billy Joel wasn't the one to open the Garden. How was this even possible? Like literally how. The man has done infinite shows & is bar none not even a remote debate the most beloved musician the New York area has ever sniffed. If the wonderful Barstool Sportsbook had odds on what musical act would re-open Madison Square Garden it truly should've Tyson v. Buster Douglas-esque odds in favor of Billy Joel. My jaw hit the floor a couple of weeks ago when the Foo Fighters hit as a +10000 underdog.

Truly just made me sad. I've been looking forward to hearing how wild the crowd gets when he announces his italian drummer from the South Shore of Long Island for over a year now. Goddamnit. Hope everyone that went to the concert had fun last night, but once again....

FIRE DOLAN.
