The Process Is Dead And So Is The Franchise

Philly fans have been dealing with demoralizing losses our entire lives. You want to know why the fans in this city are always so angry? You want to know why we act the way we do? Where we can get overly cocky and overly distraught all within the span of 5 minutes during the same game? Just look at these fucking teams we have to deal with. Just look at this season in Philly sports alone. The Eagles were the worst team in the worst division in football and trade away the franchise QB we thought have MVP potential, and fire the only SB winning head coach in franchise history. The Flyers had a catastrophic meltdown in the month of March and those losers couldn't even fall ass backwards into the playoffs. The Phillies are boring so whatever. And then we get to the Sixers. The only bright spot (allegedly) in this city at the moment. The 1 seed coming out of the East. Joel Embiid playing at MVP level. Ben Simmons finishing 2nd in the DPoY voting. A new head coach. A ton of new supporting cast members. And somehow this team is even bigger losers than the rest of them.

It would be one thing if the Sixers went out there and just lost a hard fought battle in game 6. It would have sucked to lose at home regardless, but that's a loss that maybe we'd be able to look at and just say to ourselves that they still have a chance to win the next 6. Sixers fans have been rationalizing Sixers losses for years now, so we've had a ton of experience with it.

But to go out and lose in the fashion that these dickless bastards lost last night? That's a loss that this team will legitimately never be able to get over. That's not a loss that you just get to move on from after a day. That's not a loss that you just get to move on from once this season is inevitably over. That's a loss that will stick with this franchise forever. Because it's abundantly clear that these Ken Dolls are so mentally fragile that they'll never be able to play with a lead ever again. Doesn't matter if that lead is 4 points or 40. Every time the Sixers have a lead from now on, they'll always be thinking "okay let's not fuck this up this time". It's a loser mentality that has plagued this franchise for years, and unfortunately we witnessed last night that it is a permanent issue.

So the Process is dead. RIP, you dead bitch. It's over. This team is over. It doesn't matter what happens in game 6. It doesn't matter what happens if somehow these idiots are still able to force a game 7. Because as long as idiots like this are still on the team, they're not winning shit. And it's time to just accept that as fans.

Scared. Terrified of the moment. Whatever the polar opposite of a competitor is.

The Sixers are the joke of the NBA. For the time being, they're the joke of the whole sports world. A complete and total embarassment, and now Philly fans just have to soak that. Don't you dare go around ever trying to poke fun at another fanbase right now. This is full tail-between-the-legs mode for Philly sports until further notice.
