If You Question Joey Votto's Speed In An Interview He Will Absolutely Block Your Number

Joey Votto is the gift that keeps on giving. Quote machine, masher of baseballs, just an all around gem. Votto scored from first on a ball into the corner on Wednesday and he was MOVING. Scored from first and he was jacked up for a few reasons. It was the go ahead run late in the game, and he also ran a long way. He's not very fast but he tries. Just see below.

So obviously when he scored he was fired up, showed some emotion and let people know he should be taken seriously as a speed threat. Is Billy Hamilton back on the Reds? Nope, just Joey Votto. In the press conference after the game Jim Day, a reporter covering the Reds asked Votto if was more excited over the go-ahead run, him scoring from first or all the above. Joey did NOT appreciate Jim taking shots at him. Joey basically cuts him off mid question. Once Day tells him it was his fastest sprint going first to home Joey asked him to find out the numbers and send it to him through a text and that he would then find out that Votto blocked his number and replaced him with someone named Jim with a "G". 

The whole back and forth is great, Votto has that sense of humor that everyone talking to the media should have. Fantastic post game presser by the Paul Biz sound alike. I also hope he did block that reporters number, you can't let him take those shots at you, you're the fastest guy on the field, you don't have to take that from anyone Joey.
